Charcuterie Serving tree

This project started out as an idea for some sort of display for jewellery. A key feature of this design is that the display plates can rotate so the items could be arranged in different ways. Rethink the purpose of this display I thought it might be better as a Charcuterie serving tree.
The client wanted the forms to be more cohesive  and also wanted the cap on top to be wooden. The wooden cap could be used to loosen and tighten a threaded rod that runs through the central column so that the plates can be loosened and arranged into place then tightened.
The redesigned model shows a unity and simplicity of form.
The Charcuterie Serving Tree is made with laminated Red Oak manufactured with a CNC router. Copper pipe is used for the central post The timber is oiled with a lemon scented food grade oil. A key feature of the serving tree is that the three "plates" can be rotated into different configurations.
